Social Good Summit 2012
New York City will be getting the warm and fuzzies late September courtesy of the Social Good Summit. The Social Good Summit, held on Sept 22-24, is presented by Mashable, 92nd Street Y, the United Nations Foundation, Ericsson, the United Nations Development Programme, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Entering into its third year, the Social Good Summit coincides with U.N. Week in order to unite both local and global thought leaders and change agents. This year promises to be more engaging than ever with some of the following speakers:
The Social Good Summit is committed to including everyone regardless of their location. So if you can't get to the 92nd Street Y in New York, then on or around Monday September 24
, everyone is invited to create and join Meetups to bring together like minded folks who are looking to tackle social issues through the use of technology and new media.
By the end of 2012, The Social Good Summit will then process and collect all the local discussions and house them in one global action plan. It will be nice to look back and see the progress and brainstorming all the think tanks produced.
If you can't make it to a local Social Good Summit event, you can be there in spirit and join the conversation on the time tested Twittersphere, where the official event hashtag #SGSglobal will surely be well represented.
